UKBCCI hosted the Meeting in honour of the members of the delegation of ‘Women & e-Commerce (WE) Trade Mission to the UK’ from Bangladesh held on 9th February 2023 at the City Spice, Brick Lane London.
The event was attended by UKBCCI directors, members & media.The Chief guest was Ms Meher Afroze Chumki, Former State Minister of Bangladesh Government, Special Guest was Mr Tanvir Mohammad Azim, Commercial Counsellor of Bangladesh High Commission London. UKBCCI Installation Ceremony and Business Seminar: Meeting the Challenges of Economic Recovery held on 7th of February 2023 at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, South Kensington, London
The event was attended by the dignitaries, HE Ms. Saida Muna Tasneem, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the UK, The Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE DL, Foysol Choudhury MBE MSP, Mayor Lutfur Rahman, Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets Council & video message from Paul Scully MP, guests from the business community across the UK & Bangladesh along with UKBCCI directors members & media .
The seminar particularly focused on the challenges faced by many businesses on the increase in material & consumable goods, upward movement of inflation, steep rise in energy prices, as well as ways in which businesses can deal with such increase in these parameters. Ways in which trade and investment between UK and Bangladesh can be boosted was also debated as well as the many opportunities Bangladesh has to offer as an investment hub of the world.
The news coverage of the event was broadcast on all ethnic media channels, once again recognising UKBCCI as the leading British/Bangladeshi business platform.
The feedback following the event was very positive and the event was highly successful.

On the 13th December on behalf of the UKBCCI, President Mr M G Moula Miah participated the Global Virtual Seminar of the Valerie Taylor Trust (VTT) invited by Dr Valerie Taylor OBE, which was organised by Mr Farhan Masud of Channel S. This seminar brought together scholars and experts from around the globe focussing on the hopes, challenges and justice of people with disabilities and autism.
UKBCCI President is pleased to have offered his support again to the VTT, and was announced in the seminar that President and on behalf of UKBCCI will be organising a charity night on 5th March 2023 in Birmingham to raise funds for one of the worlds renowned charity.
