UKBCCI held a Networking & Seminar on ‘Disclosure of Offshore Income and Assets’ on Thursday 15th November 2018 at UKBCCI office in the Montefiore Centre.
The Seminar was informative and well attended. It helped the audience understand the Government’s rules regarding offshore Income and Assets.
UKBCCI Director, Mohammed Siddqur Rahman, became the proud recipient of a prestigious BB Who’s Who award for his work in the business field. The Gala Event took place on Tuesday 6th November at the Meridian Grand in London. The spectacular evening saw a number of outstanding individuals recognised, of which Mr Rahman was one.
Since the nineties, Mr Rahman has been building his business portfolio from its origins in Hertfordshire, through to Bedfordshire and the UK at large. His enterprise and strong work ethic was duly rewarded and the photo shows him (3rd from left) being honoured on stage.
The UKBCCI Board Meeting was held on 1st November 2018 at the UKBCCI office. There was a comprehensive agenda with many things discussed. A well attended and positive meeting took place regarding the future events of UKBCCI. Watch this space for developments in 2019.
Our President, Bajloor Rashid MBE was honoured at the Curry Life Awards in October. He is the first recipient of the new award, known as the Curry Life MA Rahim Memorial Award, which is dedicated to the life of M A Rahim and was the main award of the night. It was awarded due to Bajloor’s outstanding contribution to the curry industry, as well as the wider community. Photos show him proudly receiving the memorial award from Rushanara Ali MP. On stage were Jon Snow, Syed Pasha, Afsana Rahim and Nawaz Rahim, along with Bajloor’s family.
