The UKBCCI successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election on 26th June 2025 at the Grand Rasoi, London. This coincided with the election of directors to board positions.
The UKBCCI successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election on 26th June 2025 at Grand Rasoi, London. The occasion marked the election of Directors to key board positions and provided an opportunity to reflect on the organisation’s achievements over the past year.
The event followed a comprehensive agenda, including the presentation of the annual accounts and highlights of UKBCCI’s ongoing work. President Mr. M G Moula Miah MBE welcomed attendees. Ms Rohema Miah conducted the AGM and Former President & Director – Nazmul Islam Nuru acted as the Election Commissioner and successfully conducted the election process under the auspices of
UKBCCI Chairman – Iqbal Ahmed OBE DBA and Founding President & Director – Bajloor Rashid MBE
President Mr M G Moula Miah MBE also presented the annual report. Finance Director Mr Kamru Ali presented the annual accounts of 2024, which were subsequently approved by the Members. The Regional President of Midlands, Mr Imam Uddin Ahmad and the Regional President of the East of England Region, Mr Siddqur Rahman Joynal also presented their respective reports.
Finance Director Mr. Kamru Ali presented the 2024 annual accounts, which were reviewed and unanimously approved by the members. Regional updates were also shared by Mr. Imam Uddin Ahmad (Regional President, Midlands) and Mr. Siddqur Rahman Joynal (Regional President, East of England).

The Board took the opportunity to acknowledge and express gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the outgoing committee. They also paid tribute to fellow Directors who have vacated their previous positions.
Directors and members warmly welcomed the newly re- elected President, M G Moula Miah MBE, affirming their continued commitment to work alongside him. They expressed confidence in the strength of the current leadership team and shared their belief that the UKBCCI is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the years ahead.
In his remarks, President Moula Miah emphasised that this is a time for the UKBCCI to move forward with renewed purpose—actively supporting existing businesses while creating new opportunities for enterprise and collaboration.
He reaffirmed UKBCCI’s vital role in representing and contributing to the British Bangladeshi business community, both in the UK and Bangladesh, and pledged to continue engaging with relevant government ministers and departments to provide the best possible support and guidance to its members.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Senior Vice President Mr. Abdul Quayum Khalique Jamal.
The event was well attended by UKBCCI Directors, members, and media representatives.
